Call for Proposals for Funding under DOST SETUP |
Calling all interested micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) owners or managers to submit proposals to the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No. 12 (DOST-12) for funding under the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP). SETUP is a nationwide strategy of the DOST to encourage and assist MSMEs to adopt technological innovations to improve their operations and thus boost their productivity and competitiveness. The program enables firms to address their technical problems through technology transfer and technological interventions to improve productivity through better product quality, human resources development, cost minimization and waste management, and other operation-related activities. |

‘Pisay’ opening in Region 12 eyed in 2013 |
COTABATO CITY (March 20, 2012)---The doors of the prestigious Philippine Science High School (PSHS) will swing wide open for the brightest students in Region 12 and other neighboring areas in 2013, an official said today.
Dr. Zenaida P. Hadji Raof Laidan, Department of Science and Technology regional director, said the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the PSHS system has formally approved the setting up of a campus in Koronadal City, the seat of government of Region 12. |

COTABATO CITY (March 12, 2012) – The Department of Science and Technology-Region 12 (DOST-12) passed anew with flying colors the reassessment audit for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008, a top official said today.
Dr. Zenaida P. Hadji Raof Laidan, DOST-12 director, said the regional office’s Quality Management System (QMS) remains compliant to the rigid ISO 9001:2008 standards. |
